ANDY KAUFMAN ON DATING GAME, SANTA CLAUS QUESTION
ByAndy Kaufman was on the dating diversion in the 70's and did this good bit formed on a controversial question. The intensity date asks him if she were Santa and he sat on her path what would he ask for. Hilarious!

@inezvelasco My parents watched this when it first aired, before anyone knew who Andy Kaufman was. She didn't pick him. But I'm sure in later years, when she looked back on that idiot on the dating game, who was just putting on an act for comedy, she probably was kicking herself XD

But who did she pick? This is frustrating because it doesn't show who she picked.

Don't make comparisons where there is none, just to talk shit about someone. That's pathetic in and of itself.

I'm trying to get some context here… Was Kaufman already known and a celebrity guest? Or was this before anybody knew who Kaufman was? If so did he audition for the show as Foreign Man and get on… in which case he put the entire show on, turned it into a performance piece of his own?

i wouldnt say 'stole'. andy innovated comedy, he caused a pivotal turn in comedic method. he created a whole new genre of comedy that tons of comedians and writers use today. i dont think thats what andy wanted to do but regardless, actors, writers, comedians all learn from each other and build off each other
