I agree with you in principle. But, to understand where "fundies" are coming from you have to understand that most of them are automatically prejudiced towards gays because most of them are heterosexual and because they are totally convicted of their anti-gay religious beliefs. They do not view the issue in terms of human rights but in terms of choice. Ergo, they actually believe that people choose to be gay and no amount of arguing with them is going to change that. Additionally, there are MANY gay people in the fundamentalist right wing who do not support gay rights issues and choose to live a life of denial. Some even claim to have changed from gay to straight and have gotten married and have children, and claim to be happy. I don't know how happy most of these people are, but I try not to judge anyone. What's unfortunate is that many of them are now out there discretely posting ads on sites like Craiglist to hook up with others of their own gender for quick and anonymous sex. And there are a lot of these Larry Craig types out there.

I don't believe in humoring anyone, I am only interested in giving the real facts and that is all. It does depend on whether or not you are willing to accept it. It is hard for people to understand this side life, because most people don't understand spiritual matters. This is a spiritual matter of which you speak of, that is being homosexual. This is a supernatural stronghold right from the Devil. His plan since days of old has been to destroy what God loves the most, and that is His creation, mankind. You see if people do not reproduce then the human race would die off. There would be an end to mankind, which God says in His word is His treasured creation above all else.
The world and the universe were made for us, not the other way around. If Satan would get what he wants then the whole human race would be destroyed. Jesus Christ said in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 10 verse 6, that since the beginning God made them (mankind) male and female. Why is this such a hard thing to understand. If people don't reproduce then we would die off.
As you probable also know God tells us in His word that all cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, Revealtion chapter 21 verse 8.
This judgment is against all who don't repent of their sins and recieve God's plan of Salvation that He gave through His Son Jesus Christ. Which is to Repent of your sins to God and make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and believe on Him and only Him to save you. Too many people get wrapped up in just the gay thing, when the Bible makes it clear that all unrepentant sinners will not get into Heaven.
Back to you question, all homosexuallity is, is a way for satan to destroy mankind. It is a spiritual stronghold that the evil one tricks people into beliveing so he can kill God's creation.
Again believe it or not, but gay is not natural, because that is not how God created us.

I sometimes think about what a Christian might say, when a hermaphrodite (intersexed) says "It's not my choice to be born both male and female, God made me.. so what choice should I make?" Would a christian be happy with them staying both, or would they be happy if the person chose to cut their female parts out or their male parts out, so that they could be one or the other?? (No one has the right to take someone's free will away, but) if the christian had ANY rights at all to take the person's free will away– which God has given all of us, (free will is a gift) the christian probably wouldn't be able to decide, since they think someone must act heterosexually male or female, without gender changes.
It's sad that some people think being homosexual is a choice, because nobody in their right mind would choose that! I can't think of anything more painful than being a homosexual in a society where they are so hated. I don't believe that homosexuality is a choice, partly because of this… When someone entertains being gay as an option, sometimes naturally straight people will end up "choosing" it or experimenting with it. Also, by seeing it as a choice, others can say: AHA! You see, it's a choice! Turn or burn!
There is another phenomena to this and it does include choice and it has to do with what i've stated above…. with so many people thinking this is a choice, (christian or not) they are willing to "choose" to be bi or gay, though not authentically. If it IS authentic, they have "tested" themselves. They devote themselves to righteousness, the best they can… but, no amount of praying or fasting or healing room sessions or church attendance or devotion, etc. for no matter how many years will change the authentically gay. Yet without this important effort and testing of oneself, those who would inauthentically "choose" it, (like a person who would later convert to christianity with their testimony of how they "were healed" of the gay lifestyle) would not have any reason to refrain from "choosing" it, because they see it being embraced as normal among the lbgt communities, lending credence to homosexuality being a "choice"
The truth is, some people are born with tendancies that are not heterosexual, but a person who is gay will know it pretty early on AND it will have nothing to do with abuse in childhood, lack of a father figure, anger at the opposite sex or the like. (which are people who inauthentically "choose" it)It is a phenomena that is not the ideal, but it does occur.
A rarer phenomena, but one just as misunderstood, is "Chimerism." Chimeras are people with 2 or more sets of DNA and it is not physically apparent… you would not be able to tell, unless you did cirtain kinds of tests. They are their own twin. some of these rare people are also born "intersexed" or "hermaphrodites… for some reason, Chimerism is prone to this.
It's not that this type of thing is God's ideal for us, but precious little is God's ideal in this world because it is an imperfect world… that's why people can rest assured, that the requirement for perfection has been made through Jesus. Our striving for God's ideals can be done without guilt and WITH assurance, nomatter what our capacities. I thank God for Jesus, because none of us can do this on our own.
